10 Healthy Smoothies for Kids

Smoothies are thick creamy beverages blended from frozen fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, nuts, seeds, dairy and non-dairy milk and ice. They are healthier than juices because they consist of skins and piths which gives an extra boost of vitamins, minerals not to forget calcium because of the yoghurt or diary that has been added to it, whereas juices leave out the pulp in most cases which consists of all the fibre and nutrients which in turn are thrown in the bin by most of us.

While making these smoothies you might want to be aware of certain things while making these smoothies. Using ingredients such as flavoured yoghurt, store-bought juices, ice cream should be avoided because of their sugar content that can increase the calorie intake. Using organic honey instead of sugar is an even better idea.

These smoothies are perfect if they are fussy about drinking their milk before going to school. Not only do they get calcium but they also get to have fibre and iron filled fruits. So keep scrolling to check out these delicious and healthy smoothie recipes.
